Music is My Theme

This term we have been set a task to work on a certain subject as our inquiry. My subject was Music, my choice was Music because I love music and do music and I wished to know how it all came

Lonely soul

Lonely soul

I go into this forest being alone and sad

I search everywhere as I cry out for my dad

I feel this deep feeling inside me is it emptiness or lonely

Hmm I wonder nah i’m just hungry for baloney.

I sit down under a tree that’s bold

And wonder is this tree really old

It’s night now walking into the darkness is scary

One time I walked into the forest at night with my uncle Larry  (not)

I heard a weird scary sound coming from somewhere

Is it my dad trying to scare me or is it a bear

Oh man where is my dad I began to cry in tears

Cause loneliness and darkness is part of my fears

After that I sat down thinking is my family searching for me

I kinda slept a little but then something woke me up and it was a bee

Later on I went to find a real comfortable spot to sleep in

But then I saw a girl walking towards me and it was my twin.

This Term me and my class has been Learning Transformation, then we created a digital learning object for it. I enjoyed learning new things about Rotation,Translation,Enlargement and Reflection.

How is polyester from plastic bottles

How is polyester made from plastic bottles?

Have you ever wondered what your clothes are made out of? Well if you did here is the answer to your question.Some people (like us)throw their plastic bottles in the dump, well that plastic bottle could possibly end up in your closet, it’s a long and complicated process but here are some steps of turning a plastic bottle into clothing.

The first stage is shredding the plastic bottles so that it will release the small amount of liquid inside the bottles so it doesn’t affect the plastic, The shredded bottle is now wrapped in cellophane and boxed up ready to be shifted to China.

They could be rubbish to us, but to China they are a great valuable price. Sorting separates the clear plastics and the coloured ones, clear plastic can be made in white clothes and materials that can be dyed, so they are very valuable. A lot of them has stickers so they got to go. There´s a separate bath for the stickers and the coloured lids, but the workers has to be careful because itś very dangerous for their skin but very good for the stickers to remove.

What is left now is just a pile of clear plastic shreds, but it´s very wet. The next step is the oven where it's mixed with coloured plastics to produce white cloth, the plastics will then spend 10 hours in the rotated drums slowly drying out, there are other plastics as well in other oven so they have to watch out on them too.

the mixture is then sent through a screw where it´s heated to 270 degrees celsius so that it will mount the plastics. They made threads now but just not strong enough, so they have to stretch it several times while being heated, the next part is to tear it apart again to make polyester, but it takes place to another factory so their  gonna bring it up and sent it on.

They now put the thread inside a machine that scrapes it all into a very rough cloth which is loaded ready to be carded, carding helps to strengthen the polyester. When all of that is done  all our plastic bottles has finally turned into polyester.

Recycling

During the past few week my group has been learning about the codes of each plastics and what it will recycle into.

Racing with supportment

It was a very blistering hot day today, I feel so sweaty right now and we haven't even started the race yet. I see a lot of cars and I hear a lot of sirens. As I gently wiped my sweat of my head  I see my family members under a huge umbrella eating nice cold ice creams. When the race is about to start I can hear my family supporting me and waving at me, so I grinned with happiness and excitement, I see other racers getting ready for the big race so I got ready too.

I felt really nervous but excited at the same time. We wait, the crowd is quiet and all I hear is myself breathing feeling my sweat sliding down from my forehead Bang goes the gun and there I go riding on my bike with my carves burning really hot, but I still rode my bike with confidence. As I breath calmly I thought to myself am I way behind?, or am I in the front?.

I see the finish line, I can see my family and other people getting ready to take a picture, I couldn’t believe that I came this far, hearing the crowd saying my name, listening to the sound of the cameras clicking, seeing the flashlight from the cameras, as soon as I past that finish line, I felt so Proud of myself, no matter what place I came in I still past that finish line with confidence and happiness and my family supporting me.

Will it be too late?

The date was 13th July, my 345th birthday it was my last day of seeing my father dying in pain, watching him puking out blood, listening to him crying in tears and saying he deserves this punishment.” I’m just so sick and tired of  of looking at my father dying, especially on my birthday. I decided to pretend it’s not my birthday, but to fight for my father’s life and freedom.

Their I go saying goodbye to my father and tell him “it will be alright” (just to make him feel better haha). But before I leave he gave me a little present that he bought not long ago for my birthday and say “ I love you.”. I    I wiped my tears as I went flying out of the door and seeing my dad trying to eat his soup. It was really hard for me just to leave him like this, I  clenched my hands as tight as I could, but I have to find a powerful medicine to heal my father before it’s too late.

As I wiped my sweat off my head, I began to cry into tears because I feel useless climbing on this mountain because I forgot that I can fly. As I arrived the great mountain of things, I suddenly saw a sign that has a picture of an old man called by the name of rumpelstiltskin, I grinned and laughed at that name because it’s so..  I just can’t describe his name haha.It has his telephone number aswell, So I took out my notebook and my pen and began to write down his telephone number  0210654321…  to be continues next term

Will I be myself again?

2 years ago their was a famous singer named Jason Derulo, He nearly got replaced by a ugly  bald headed guy named Jordan Jaber for being famous, but luckily Jason punched him in the head by accident but that punch was as strong as a gorilla. It starts of like this.

When Jason Derulo was walking to the mall to buy outfits for his nieces, Nevaeh and Michelle, he didn’t notice  a guy was stalking him. When he finished shopping, he went to the back of his car and opened his boot to put the outfits in, but suddenly a giant guy just came and wacked him right in the head then kidnapped him and put him into a big green van.

When Jason woke up, he was tied to a chair with a big bomb beside him, he was so horrified that he doesn’t know where he is and how he got their. A guy was standing in front of him and introduced himself, “hi my name is Jordan Jaber and i’m here to talk to you about how your career is going.”

(That was when Jason didn’t know himself)

Jason looked really scared he didn’t know what to say, Jordan grabbed Jason by the neck and threatened him to say something, but their was no response, then Jordan leaned back and said “what is your name,”Jason paused for a while, “my  name?” Jason said.  “My name is…  Jason stopped, he was confused. “I don’t know my name” said Jason, Jordan laughed and grinned at Jason.

“I feel pessimistic” said Jason.. to be continued...

Does music help people learn or distracts people?

In my opinion I Tyrepa believe that music distracts people and affects their learning,why? Because if the songs are really cool and you really like that music you might sing along and do beats with it instead of finishing your writing.

My first opinion is, if the teacher plays a song and other people like it but not you would you like it? Of course not if you don’t like the music that is playing it can distract you from learning and  your focusing to the song because you really want it to stop instead of finishing your work.

My next opinion, when the teacher plays a song, some students sing along a lot of times and that wastes their time of learning because their doing more singing and less learning.

My other opinion, when your class is playing a song it might be too loud and that can affect other classes of learning and it can annoy them as well.

My final opinion, when someone has earphones and it's so peace and quiet you can learn and focus on your work, then something bad happens e.g. The person with the earphone sings along with the song that he’s playing that no one can hear but him has a really bad voice and that can maybe just maybe hurt other people ears and annoy others from learning.

And that is my opinion of why music can distract other people of learning and not focusing on their work thank you.

1. When Tama was little he looked at the colour's in the sky and wondered where it came from, then he grew up being a chief.

2. He decided to go into the forest and ask the God of the forest if he called get a big log to build a great big waka, so he did.
